Terms of Service

1. Scope
These terms govern the package-forwarding, buying-agency, and direct-store services (the "Services") provided by General in Port ("we"/"us"). By registering an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Account & Japan address
You must register accurate information. We issue you a personal Japan address including your member code; use it only as a shipping destination for Japanese online stores, and always include your member code. Packages without a member code may be held until identified.
3. Services
Forwarding: we receive, inspect, store and ship packages you purchased yourself. Buying agency: we purchase requested items after you approve our quote (no cancellation after approval in principle). Direct store: listed prices may change due to source-price fluctuations.
4. Fees & payment
Fees follow the price tables and quotes shown on the site, in Japanese yen, paid by credit card (Stripe). International shipping is prepaid based on estimated weight; the difference after the final weight is confirmed is charged or refunded (small differences are waived). If a source price rises, we may request an additional payment; if you decline, the order is cancelled and refunded.
5. Prohibited items
Items restricted by law or export/import regulations (weapons, pharmaceuticals, CITES items, standalone lithium batteries, hazardous materials, etc.) cannot be handled. We may refuse shipment and return or dispose of such packages at your cost.
6. Storage
Free storage lasts for the period shown on the site from inspection; paid extension is available. We may dispose of packages exceeding the storage period after prior notice.
7. Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel before shipment from My page; paid amounts are refunded after confirmation. No cancellation or return after international dispatch; loss or damage in transit is covered within the carrier's insurance.
8. Disclaimer
We are not liable for transit delays, customs inspection, import restrictions, duties and import taxes (payable by the recipient), seller stock/price/quality issues, or force majeure. Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us for the transaction concerned.
9. Suspension / 10. Changes / 11. Governing law
We may suspend accounts for violations, non-payment, or fraud. We may amend these terms with notice on the site. These terms are governed by Japanese law; disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court of our place of business.
